Recipe Banana Nut Cheesecake

Banana Nut Cheesecake is nearly too tempting to resist. It begins as a thin batter, more like a cake. However, as it bakes, its flavor shines through. This dessert is rich with bananas and chocolate, so it’s worth the effort. What’s better, serving it cold? This is a simple recipe that you can make if you have never tried this type of cheesecake.

Start by making plain nonfat or low-fat yogurt. Mix half a cup sourcream, two cups packed juice, a pinch salt, and one quarter teaspoon baking powder. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Then add 1 cup wafer crackers to the bowl. The mixture can be cut into rounds using a rubber blade. Each round should be lightly pressed into the sides and bottom of the pan. Be careful not to let the cream cheese get into the batter.

Bake the bananas at 350 degrees for approximately ten minutes until they are fully set. Once the bananas have cooled enough to handle safely, turn off your oven. The cooled and chilled mixture can be cut into three pieces. These can be placed on a parchment-lined baking sheet, then oil-coated.

Next, line a pan with graham crumpers. Spread half of the mixture onto the graham crumpers, leaving about 1 inch between each cracker. Use your finger to remove any air bubbles from the graham crum crackers. This will seal in some flavors. Use a food processor to mix the dry ingredients (half the cake mix and milk) together.

Now it’s time to put together all the ingredients for your cheesecake. Combine all dry ingredients except the chopped bananas and mix well. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and combine well. Spread the batter into a pan. Smoothen any lumps in the mixture. To finish your banana nut cheesecake, bake it in the oven for about thirty minutes.

Your final step is to decorate your cake. You can decorate your cake with fruit slices (3 to 5), powdered sugar or lemon-juice drizzles and a drizzle of chocolate. If you like, you can sprinkle almonds and hazelnuts on top. You can frost the cake once it is cool. Then, enjoy your first slice of cake!
