Easy Peach Tart Recipe

Peach Tart or Pie-a-Thons is a delicious and simple pie that consists of layers of cream, peach and cream. This Peach Tart recipe is easy to make and you can find many variations of it. The recipe for this peach casserole is very simple, as you can see from the name.

Yields are 1 9-inch tart

Ingredients:

Crust:

  • 1 cup whole grain flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 4 tablespoons butter (2oz).
  • 2 tablespoons coldwater
  • Frangipane filling:
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 egg
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 large peaches, pitted.

Directions

  1. Make the crust: Mix the wheat flour with sugar, salt and butter in a bowl until smooth.
  2. Mix the water into the dough until it comes together.
  3. Wrap it in plastic and place in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  4. After the dough has been chilled, transfer it to floured surfaces and roll it into 1/4-inch thick sheets.
  5. Place the prepared dough sheet on the tart-pan and press down gently.
  6. Take the dough out of its container and trim the edges.
  7. To make the filling, beat the eggs with sugar until pale and fluffy.
  8. After the almond meal, add the almond extract.
  9. Put the filling into the crust. Smoothen it out with a fork.
  10. Place peach slices on top of the tart and bake at 350F for about 30-40 minutes, until the peaches are tender.
